When going to war nothing unnecessary was carried, and therefore the scabbards and sheaths were left home to await the victorious return of the warriors. The reserve weapons were carried blades exposed and ready to be drawn in either metal rings or in leather hangers of the type we sell. A knight could have a longsword in hand, a shorter single hand sword on his left side and a dagger on the right. This streamlined dagger hanger is hand crafted from the finest quality leather with nickel plated steel. The adjustable leather straps allow for any width of dagger blade to be used. Belt not included.
