Description
This expressively medieval pendant in the shape of a cross is reminiscent of the medieval crusaders who carried cross as a sign of their faith in battle.
The cross pattée is a type of Christian cross with arms that are narrow at the center, and often flared in a curve or straight line shape, to be broader at the perimeter. It was once known as the symbol of the Christian crusaders and symbolized the suffering of Christ.
In the Middle Ages, the cross pattée was worn as a sign by the crusader orders of the Knights Templar, the Knights of Malta and the Knights of St John, among others, and can still be found in their coats of arms today. The Medieval Cross Amulet is made of bronze, and is available in bronze and silverplated.
