Description
Carried at the back for a left hand draw, the main gauche was often brought into play with the rapier for a two handed fighting style. The emblem of the Musketeers, a cross with fleur-de-lis at each corner, is engraved into both sides of the hilt. This dagger has cut-outs and notches to slow or disrupt an opponent’s blade, while the hand is well-protected by the knuckle bow. The blade is made of tempered, high-carbon steel. The grip is wood wrapped with twisted wire and the parts of the hilt are plated with gleaming nickel silver. Also includes a leather scabbard.

Tämä vekotin saapui samassa kyydissä muskettisoturin rapierin kanssa, yhteen kun kuuluvat. Hieno on, mutta täytyy todeta että WHOA tuota väistin leveyttä, on kuin prätkän ohjaustanko. Miten tuota on mukamas kukaan pitänyt vyöllään tai jotenkin ruhoonsa kiinnitettynä ilman että takertuu kaikkeen vastaantulevaan ja ohi menevään… mutta siis, väististä viis, on komea kokonaisuus! Käsisuoja on todellakin kuin kupurakilpi, ja terän juuressa olevat hahlot varmasti toimivat tarkoituksessaan vastustajan miekan nappaamiseen. Ehkä. En löytänyt mitään virheitä tai puutteita, tikari (tai pieni miekkahan tämä on) on just kuvauksen ja odotusten mukainen. Ei helise, ei kolise, on tasapainoinen (jopa ehkä takapainoinen) eli kevyt kädessä ja hyvän näköinen. Jos siis pitää tuuliturbiinin lapojen kokoisesta väististä 🙂 Tämähän tuli siis täysin tylppänä eli teroittamattomana (toki kärki on pointy pointy) toisin kuin kuvaus kertoo, siitä vähän miinusta.
