Sword Oil

Description

Hanwei Sword Oil is specially formulated to provide corrosion protection for high-carbon steel blades and other edged weapons. It is ideal for covering exposed metal guards and wire-wrapped grips, and various scabbard components.

Make sure that your blade is perfectly clean and dry before oiling. Apply a light coat of Hanwei Sword Oil to all exposed steel surfaces, including wire-wrapped grips, using a small piece of fabric. For example a piece from your old T-shirt is good for this use as it is soft and doesn’t leave any lint on surfaces. Gently wipe the oil from the steel surfaces before using the sword to remove any slipperiness and re-oil after use.
