Description

Catapults were already used in ancient times, but they became famous during the medieval siege wars. Catapult was used mostly to shoot large stone boulders, which sought to break down opposing fortresses, towers and protective walls.

The catapults were not very accurate, so usually they were not used to target enemy troops but large stationary buildings.
