Country Maid’s Skirt & Bodice

This Country maid’s skirt is a perfect garment for the faire, going off to market or for a stroll in the garden. Perfect for the country lass! The rustic sleeveless dress is sturdy enough to wear while working in the kitchen or the fields. It is the ideal garb for a servant or a farmer.

The lace-up bodice has an integral, attached skirt, creating an overdress made of durable 100% cotton. The bodice is fitted with brass eyelets and the full skirt is split down the front to show a modest peek of the underdress/chemise. Grommets and laces in the front and the back of the dress help in getting a perfect fit.

This dress can be worn with any of our chemises so you can combine them for the look you are after (sold separately). Shown in pictures with the Muslin Chemise.

Note! In front of the bodice, under the lowest grommet, there is a small metal clasp. This clasp closes the bodice edges together making it easier to put on the laces and tighten these. We have noticed at the store that this little metal clasp damages easily if strongly pulled, so we recommend some caution and being careful with the clasp.
