This narrow late medieval belt is based on an original find. This beautiful replica of a 1.5 cm narrow late medieval belt with a historical buckle is made of high-quality cowhide from 2.5 to 3 mm thick in brown or black cowhide leather made from purely vegetable tanning.
This historical buckle is suitable approximately for period from 1250 to 1400 AD, covering large part of the Middle Ages, and is ideal for historical clothing and medieval reenactment.
Oval buckles like this are the most common shape found in medieval finds and these were used both in the High and Late Middle Ages. Medieval oval belt buckles like this appeared fairly uniform across Europe, despite regional differences and differences in both climatic and social status.
