Description
People of the Viking Age used chains for closing cloaks and hanging different accessories. Chains could have been also used as a decoration by themselves, sometimes to show off the wealth of the person carrying them.
This replica of a Viking double-link chain with hooks is perfect for a historical Viking outfit. It is made of bronze according to historical models found from eastern Sweden and the Baltic.
This chain has two options for the hook styles. The “S-hook” is good for attaching and hanging one accessory from the chain. The “Omega-hook” is ideal for hanging two accessories from the same chain. The other end of the stave chain is S-hook in both options.
The chain rings have a diameter of 5.5 mm. The chain itself has a length of 33 cm. Including the hooks at both ends, the Viking chain measures 37.5 cm in both hook styles.
