The flavors are inspired by the Nordic nature and the shape originates from an actual find. The Mjölnir hammer is based on a find in Denmark and dates back to the 900s. The original hammer was however cast in bronze, not candy. The sweets are manufactured in Sweden with great care, and are vegan, gluten free and free of palm oil. These soft and chewy sweet are available in four flavors.
Freya’s Elderflowers
With its floral taste, elderflower brings to mind summer and sun. The sweetness of the elderflower is mixed with a little lemon, which gives a well-balanced combination of sweetness and sourness. Elderflower has been cultivated since the Viking Age and the tree was considered sacred as it was believed that the goddess Freya lived in one.

Salty Licorice
A powerful salty licorice that tickles the taste buds!
Licorice has been used as a medicinal plant for thousands of years and although it was not until the Middle Ages that it found its way up north, both fennel and anise were common flavoring agents in food and drinks in the Viking Age. Finns, Swedes, and other Nordics now consume kilos of the black stuff per year per person, both sweet and salty.

Raspberry Mjölnir
The “Raspberry Mjölnir” has a clear taste of raspberries. Raspberries grow wild throughout the Nordic countries and the Vikings liked to flavor their mead with these tasty berries. Combines very well with the ”Salty licorice Mjölnir”.

Licorice & Juniper
A salty licorice with a note of juniper that lifts the licorice, leaving a pleasant lingering aftertaste. Juniper berries have been used at least since the Egyptian times, either for its medicinal properties, or as a culinary ingredient. During the Viking Age it was used to flavor mead. Nowadays juniper is still used to flavor alcohol, mainly gin, which is why this juniper licorice has a taste that many adults might find familiar.
