Description
The crashing of waves, the roar of cannons, the shout of sea rogues through the foreboding mist – this pirate sword can’t help but unleash adventurous images. The sword type was probably developed by the British Navy, as they were after a weapon which could be used on land, but would also be perfect for naval combat in tight quarters and below the deck. The thick, slightly curved, single-edged blade could equally slice through ropes or sails, and pierce an enemy at close quarters. It was also straightforward and easy to learn. The sword type caught on and was soon used on ships throughout the world. Naturally such a fitting weapon was used similarly on the ships that flew the pirate flag, as European piracy saw its heyday from the 16th to the 18th centuries.
This wooden sabre is fit for wherever adventure takes you: walking the plank on board a pirate ship, forcing your way through a hostile jungle, or fighting a ticking crocodile, this sturdy wooden saber will not leave you in trouble. Just remember to save your friends too!
